Pricing
Pay for the work, not the round trips
Credits meter what a query actually costs to serve. A card lookup is one credit, a search is two, and images are free. Plans start at $19 a month, month to month.

Scanning is separate
Card recognition is metered on its own
Turning a photo into a card is a different kind of work with a different cost, so it has its own allowance and its own plans. Scans never draw on your data credits and data calls never draw on your scans.
- From
- $29/mo · 6,000 cards
- Or no plan at all
- $0.012per matched card
Down to $0.0025 a scan at volume, and a frame we cannot place is never billed. Both prices come back on the match, so identification and pricing are one charge rather than two.

The parts that usually have an asterisk
Every game, every plan
No game is gated behind a tier. Starter reads the same eight-game catalog as Scale — plans differ in volume and speed, never in coverage.
Images are never metered
Card artwork comes from a separate CDN and costs nothing on any plan. A collection grid rendering four hundred thumbnails does not touch your credits.
Caching is rewarded, not punished
Send an If-None-Match header and a 304 costs zero credits. Failed requests are not billed either — a 429 or a 500 is our problem, not your invoice.
Bulk beats chatter
A search costs 2 credits whether it returns 10 cards or 100. Paginating wide is dramatically cheaper here than on a per-request plan.
Overage is capped, twice over
A daily ceiling of a tenth of your monthly allowance stops a runaway loop the same afternoon, and overage stops once it reaches your plan price. The worst a month can cost is double.
Upgrading always wins
Overage is priced above the rate of the plan it extends, on purpose. It is there to cover a busy week, never to make staying on a small plan the cheaper move.
You can always leave
Bulk exports in JSON, NDJSON and Parquet are included from Growth up, and they are complete rather than crippled. Your data is not held hostage.
How billing works
You keep a balance, we draw from it
Instead of a subscription that renews whether you used it or not, you hold a balance and the monthly fee comes out of it. Nothing is charged unless you ask for it, and if you stop topping up the plan simply ends.
- 1
Top up
Add any amount from $19. It lands in your balance immediately, and a VAT invoice is issued for it that you can download whenever your accountant asks.
- 2
Pick a plan
The first month comes out of the balance immediately and the key works straight away. Switch plans whenever you like — the difference is prorated against the balance rather than invoiced.
- 3
We draw monthly
On each renewal date the plan fee and any overage are deducted. We email you when the balance drops below two months so a lapse never arrives as a surprise.
If the balance will not cover the next draw, the plan lapses and your keys stop until you top up. Nothing goes to collections, because nothing was ever owed — the worst case is an API that stops answering, which is a problem you can fix in a minute.
Payment
Prepaid, and nothing you have to cancel
Prices are quoted in USD. Pay by card and you get a VAT invoice, saved payment details and optional automatic top-ups. The money becomes a prepaid balance that your plan fee and any overage are drawn from, so there is no subscription to cancel and no invoice waiting at the end of the month — if you stop topping up, the plan simply ends.
Cards, because everyone has one
Visa, Mastercard and American Express, plus Apple Pay and Link. Expense it, invoice it, and get a VAT receipt your finance team will accept.
Prepaid, so you can never be surprised
You spend a balance you have already funded. There is no credit line, no invoice at the end of the month, and no way to owe us money.
One balance either way
Both methods top up the same prepaid balance. Nothing about your plan, your credits or your overage changes with how you paid.
Automatic only if you ask
Payments are one-off unless you switch on automatic top-ups, which recharge a saved card when the balance falls below a level you set. Off by default, and off again the moment you say so.
Cards
Visa, Mastercard and American Express, plus Apple Pay and Link. Every payment produces a VAT invoice you can download, and any of them can be saved to top up automatically before your balance runs out.
Payments credit instantly. VAT is added at checkout where it applies; EU businesses can enter a VAT number and be reverse-charged instead. We deliberately only offer methods that can be charged again later, so any payment you make can also become an automatic top-up. That rules out single-use bank redirects such as iDEAL, which require you to authenticate every payment in person.

Still deciding? Query the API before you sign up
The explorer queries a public sample of real card data with no key and no account. See the response shape before you commit a line of code.
